Thanos Amorginos was born in Athens, 1973.
At age twelve, he took Spanish guitar lessons. In 1989 he began working for a PA company, gradually getting involved in sound engineering. Before his eighteenth birthday, he joined legendary Greek band The Last Drive on guitar. For the next five years, he toured constantly with the band, recording two albums (‘Fuckhead Entropy’, Hitch Hyke Records, 1992, produced by Paul B. Cutler – of Dream Syndicate and 45 Grave fame – and ‘Subliminal’, BMG, 1994, co-produced by the band and Jim Spliff), until the group split in 1995.
During that period, he produced seven inch singles for the Rockin’ Bones and Cosmic Teds, two of the best Greek rock bands of the time. In 1996, after being spotted by film director George Lazopoulos, he starred in the film ‘Medusa’ (Science Fiction Award at Houston Film Festival, 1996) as Perseus and appeared in several TV commercials. By 1996, he had entered the realm of computers, and began writing music for TV commercials.
